Playwright’s Comments:
THE SIGHT was originally written for 14/48: The World’s Quickest Theater Festival, Seattle, WA. Many thanks to Dan, Sunam, Maya, Natalie, and Tia, and also thanks to Pork Filled Productions for the opportunity to further develop this work, and for being such a champion of new genre plays!

Playwright’s Bio:
Maggie Lee is a Seattle playwright who creates diverse, imaginative new worlds on stage in genres like science fiction, horror, and action-adventure, with productions in Seattle, New York, Seoul, Chicago, and San Francisco. She is currently the Resident Playwright at Macha Theatre Works and a member of the Dramatists Guild.

Dramaturg’s Bio:
Dan Rector is a Seattle Area Dramaturge who has been working with Pork Filled Players since 2012. He has previously supported Maggie Lee’s Steampunk trilogy, and is delighted to return once again to help render tales of the fantastic and horrifying!

Director’s Bio:
Sunam Ellis is an MFA graduate from UW and has worked on productions with ACT, Book-It, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Sound Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company, The Horse in Motion, Freehold and Seattle Public Theater. She is an part-time lecturer at Seattle University and The University of Washington.

Playwright’s Bio:
Chie-Hoon Lee’s credits include the short plays “For the Living” and “Half Life”. Chie-Hoon has worked in non-creative capacities for the renowned Belvoir and Griffin theatre companies in Sydney.

Dramaturg’s Bio:
Lydia K. Valentine is a dramaturg & director, educator & editor, playwright & poet. Through her own writing and the projects to which she contributes, Lydia always seeks to amplify the voices of those who are too often stifled, ignored, and marginalized in what has been the accepted narrative of the United States.

Director’s Bio:
Zenaida is a Producing Director for MAP Theatre, Asst Production Manager & Casting Associate for Book-It Repertory, a freelance actor and a budding director. Directing credits: co-produced workshop of The Way Back; In the Grey City (Asst), Young Playwright’s Festival (Schmeater); selections of Spoon River Anthology (North Seattle College).

This is beyond a doubt the weirdest thing I’ve ever written. Thanks to Pork Filled Productions and the wonderful creative team for helping bring this madness into being.

Playwright’s Bio:
Greg Lam is a playwright and podcaster who’s just moved to the Bay Area. His full-length play REPOSSESSED received its world premiere at Theatre Conspiracy in Fort Myers, FL in 2018. Grecia graduated from the University of Washington in Drama and Classics in 2019. Previously, Grecia has directed Aesop’s Fables: a Devised Piece and The Penelopiad through UW’s Undergraduate Theatre Society. Grecias is also a stage manager, who’s gotten to work with Pratidhwani, eSe Teatro, and Off-Road Shakespeare.
