PFP Receives A4 Grant
Asian American Arts Alliance (A4) and PFP is proud to announce that PFP has received funding from the second and final cycle of the A4 Arts Fund, a national initiative distributing $500,000 to arts and cultural organizations uplifting Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.
“The $15K we’ve received and being recognized by another AAPI organization for the work we do is affirming,” says development lead Alanah Pascual. “We are moving in the the right directions. $15,000 feeds into making PFP happen for another 30 years.”
Supported by The Wallace Foundation and the National Arts Regranting Partners, the A4 Arts Fund is the first initiative of its kind to provide dedicated funding to under-resourced arts and cultural organizations serving and championing AAPI communities. The fund supports organizations with annual budgets under $500,000 through general operating grants.
A4 received applications from 24 states, plus Washington, DC, and the US island territories of Guam and Northern Mariana Islands. PFP joins other veteran Asian American theatre such as Stir-Friday Night, Consortium of Asian American Theaters and Artists and TEADA.
“Following last year’s inaugural application cycle, we were once again overwhelmed by the number of submissions we received, a reminder of the tremendous need for resources among arts and cultural organizations uplifting AAPI communities,” says Lisa Gold, executive director of A4. “It is bittersweet to conclude the A4 Arts Fund with this cycle, knowing how many deserving organizations are still in need of support. However, we’re beyond thrilled to fund this
year’s grantees and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in their communities.”

The A4 Arts Fund is made possible with support from The Wallace Foundation through their Advancing Well-Being in the Arts initiative, which funds arts organizations founded by, with, and for communities of color to advance their well-being, enhance understanding of their contributions to community, and ultimately help to build a more equitable and sustainable arts ecosystem.
The National Arts Regranting Partners include: A4, ACCESS (Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services), Alternate ROOTS, Color Congress, First Peoples Fund, The International Association of Blacks in Dance, MENA Theater Makers Alliance (MENATMA), NALAC, PA’I Foundation, Sipp Culture, Women of Color in the Arts (WOCA), and World Arts West.
